Job Title: Qualified Actuary/London/Scotland/Excellent
Description
Overall purpose To support the Actuarial Manager. The specific detail of your role will depend on the team you are in, and will be reflected in your annual objectives. Accountabilities / Responsibilities: • Review work of others for technical accuracy and compliance with internal/external requirements and approve. • Act as a recognised authority on particular areas of professional specialism, providing advice and guidance on technical matters. • Deliver a range of actuarial tasks producing results to agreed standards and deadlines and approving content. • Take responsibility for the team meeting technical standards and requirements. • Exercise commercial judgements when drawing conclusions and making recommendations. • Manage a number of projects or programmes. • Manage the day-to-day workload of the team. • Mange the performance of the individuals within the team. • Contribute towards the formation of operating plan and budgets. Knowledge and Skills • Qualified Actuary, likely to have significant post qualification experience. • Qualified Actuary with strong understanding of the Financial Services industry and regulatory environment. • Experience of financial reporting and/or actuarial modelling for a Life Assurance company.
