| Description |
| Overall purpose To support the Actuarial Manager. The specific detail of your role will depend on the team you are in, and will be reflected in your annual objectives.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
• Review work of others for technical accuracy and compliance with internal/external requirements and approve.
• Act as a recognised authority on particular areas of professional specialism, providing advice and guidance on technical matters.
• Deliver a range of actuarial tasks producing results to agreed standards and deadlines and approving content.
• Take responsibility for the team meeting technical standards and requirements.
• Exercise commercial judgements when drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
• Manage a number of projects or programmes.
• Manage the day-to-day workload of the team.
• Mange the performance of the individuals within the team.
• Contribute towards the formation of operating plan and budgets.
Knowledge and Skills
• Qualified Actuary, likely to have significant post qualification experience.
• Qualified Actuary with strong understanding of the Financial Services industry and regulatory environment.
• Experience of financial reporting and/or actuarial modelling for a Life Assurance company.
