| Job Title: ACTUARIAL TEAM LEADER - EB RISK - CAPE TOWN |
| Description |
Client's Risk Actuarial department is responsible for monitoring and maintaining profitability and growth of the Employee Benefits risk benefits portfolios.
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
Managing and maintaining a large portfolio of risk business within the EB area.
Managing and leading the team of staff allocated to that portfolio, including workflow allocation and monitoring performance standards.
Ensuring that the portfolio remains profitable by accurate analysis of claims experience and implementing appropriate corrective action.
Ensuring the consistent growth of the portfolio by providing competitive rates, service levels and improving business relationships.
Build and maintain internal relationships with all parties to ensure that the portfolio receives exceptional service.
Build and maintain external business relationships with brokers/consultants/clients essential in the portfolio.
Identifying and solving of problems within the business environment.
Liaising with clients (both external and internal) on rates, products, tenders, revisions, and other risk issues.
Assisting with ad-hoc projects.
The following are the requirements:
Matric coupled with an actuarial degree.
Completion of all CT subjects with CA1 and one ST subject.
Minimum 5 years ratings experience or similar experience.
Strong analytical/mathematical skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure.
Excellent people skills, with proven experience in managing staff and performance.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral. |
