| Description |
| To carry out actuarial work in respect of commercial lines pricing and portfolio analysis. Model development and underwriter support will comprise most of the work with additional parts contributing towards other company processes: reserving and capital modeling.
The main duties of the role include:
· Maintenance and development of commercial lines pricing models and assumptions.
· Individual Account/Contract Pricing.
· Support of Lloyd’s Price Monitoring Data process and inputs.
· Rate change support for Underwriters.
· Actuarial appraisal of new commercial lines underwriting opportunities.
The skills required include Microsoft Excel and VBA in Microsoft Excel. Desirable skills include Microsoft Access, VBA in Microsoft Access and SAS.
The following experience is essential:
· 1 year’s actuarial, underwriting or modelling work in general insurance or closely related area.
· Degree in a numerate subject (Maths, Science, Economics, Finance etc)
· Maths A Level: Grade A
The following education would be useful but is not essential:
· Passes in 3 or more of the actuarial exams CT series
Study for the FIA qualification will be part of this job
