An opportunity for a nearly qualified or qualified actuary with an interest in the short-term insurance field has arisen in our client's short-term insurance actuarial team. The job will entail product development, pricing and monitoring of non traditional products, for example: tyre insurance, pet insurance, employer groups and products for the low income market.
 
Skills and competencies - Generic product development skills (experienced product developers from the life and health industry are welcome to apply) - 5 to 10 year work experience - ST3 and preferably SA3 - Ability to manage a small team - Providing specialist product support to business engagement and delivery channels - Liaising with capital management unit to ensure required profitability is achieved on all relevant products - Project management and documentation of pricing exercises - Thorough knowledge of insurance products - Knowledge of the insurance environment, including regulatory and legal framework
