This group provides technical support and knowledge to our Retirement, Risk and Finance Business. It produces articles on new legislation and technical developments for consultants and clients, supports the provision of standard tools and documents to enhance consulting and provides access to, and produces models to develop, statistics and data needed to support our consulting teams.
A varied and stimulating role has arisen for a Senior Actuary. As a Senior Actuary, you will assist with leading the development of new material, provide high level technical support to our consulting teams.
Key Duties will include:
Leading the development of new approaches or methodologies by sharing knowledge with the Retirement, Risk and Finance (RRF) consulting units and providing advice.
Supporting the wider RRF business by reviewing core documents in a timely way.
Carrying out research, developing technical material and interpreting legislative issues and regulations to consultants and clients.
Supporting other team members when providing complex advice to consultants and clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
Qualified Actuary with scheme actuary certificate
The successful candidate will have a high level of UK pensions and legislative knowledge with the ability to understand and interpret complex information.
Significant experience of working in a similar role providing advice and leading on new developments and changes in the pensions industry.
Evidence of developing innovative solutions to clients within the area of pensions consulting
Prior experience of leading, motivating and managing people
Excellent consulting skills with the proven ability to build first class working relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain complex topics in an effective way.
Strong presentation, facilitation and organisational skills are necessary in this role.
Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
Location is flexible, however London is preferred. |
